The NBA Draft!

Image
Yesterday the NBA Draft started. I was excited to see who the Jazz would pick at #12. They picked Trey Lyles, who played for John Calipari at Kentucky. There were mixed reviews on this. A lot of people were upset that the Jazz didn't pick up shooting guard Devon Booker. Booker was named the SEC Sixth Man of the Year as well as being a McDonald's All American. I really liked how he played at Kentucky but I believe in Trey Lyles. I think that Lyle's has a lot to bring to the table. If you look at his stats from his one and only season in Kentucky he only averaged around 8 points and 5 rebounds but than again he had other players on the team that were stars. They all shared the basketball and worked well together as a team. I am really excited to see this young man grow on the team. I believe he will definitely contribute and be a factor in the upcoming years. He has a lot to learn, as with any new NBA draftee but I think he will listen to his coaches and work hard and devel...

The Warriors are the Champions

So it finally happened for Golden State. They won the NBA Championship with first year head coach Steve Kerr. The last time they won the whole thing was in 1975 which was 40 years ago. I have been very impressed with how they have played all season. What I really like most about the team is that they share the ball a lot. They averaged about 24 a game which is really good. In basketball, there are always superstars of course but I love to see chemistry with the players. I am so happy that Steph Curry got the MVP of the season. He definitely deserved it. In the playoffs this season he had an incredible amount of 3 pointers. He hit 91 of them on his own. That's not an easy thing to do. During the Finals, he had some brilliant games and some performances that wern't so good but he sure is a favorite of mine and he sure had the determination and will to win it all with his teammates. I was a little disappointed with Klay Thompson. For some reason Curry and Thompson were having ...

NBA Finals 2015: Cavs vs Warriors

The first game of the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors was incredible. They went back and forth through out the entire game. In the first half it was all the Cavaliers. They played excellent defense and were able to keep the explosive offensive Warriors from scoring. It was very frustrating because they weren't playing like the team they usually have through out the whole season. They were not taking very good shots and had quite a few turnovers. They couldn't stop Lebron James. He was on fire as he usually is. BTW side note I hate how all these people are comparing him to MJ. Every Hall of Famer is unique and different in their own playing style. That is just my opinion though. Anyways back to the game, Lebron was just playing the best he could possibly do and had some good help with players like JR Smith and Iman Shumpert. Tristan Thompson, another one of the Cavs players helped big time on defense. He wasn't good offensively but h...
