McGregor vs Diaz and Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz

Tonight Nate Diaz takes on the challenge against Conor McGregor. If you aren't familiar with MMA they always have a press conference before with both fighters. Let's just say it got a little heated. Nate Diaz accused Conor McGregor of taking steroids. McGregor fought back defensively of the remarks made by Diaz. McGregor called himself an animal. Diaz went on to say that all of the UFC takes steroids. Steroids are a major substance that is not allowed in many sports and McGregor told Diaz and the rest of the people at the press conference that he strongly takes a stand against steroids.

Underdog Nate Diaz is an MMA Fighter from Stockton, California. He has 18 wins and 10 losses, with his most recent victory against Michael Johnson back in December of lost year. He has a lot of confidence in his abilities and we will see on Saturday night if he can shock the MMA world and upset McGregor. McGregor hasn't lost in a long time. The last time he lost was on November 27, 2010 against opponent Joseph Duffy. He's going to have to step it up big time if he wants to defeat McGregor.

On the other hand, Conor McGregor (the favorite) is from Dublin, Ireland. He currently has 19 wins and 2 losses. He most recently came off a victory against a very good opponent, Jose Aldo. He knocked him out in less than 20 seconds. I have to put a tangent in here. How would you like to spend quite a bit of money just to see it end in only 13 seconds? I would be a little disappointed myself. I was a little surprised myself because I thought Aldo would keep McGregor on his heels. But it didn't happen that way.

Will Nate Diaz upset Conor McGregor or will McGregor take control and get a victory against Diaz? We will find out tomorrow night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate

On the women's side, heavy favorite Holly Holm will go against underdog Miesha Tate. Holm has a lot of momentum going into his event, with her most recent victory against Ronda Rousey. A lot of people didn't expect Holm to take Rousey out like she did.

Holly Holm is an MMA fighter from Albquerque, New Mexico who also a former professional boxer and kickboxer. Overall, he has 38 wins and 33 losses, counting her kickboxing and boxing fights. I feel like if she plays as good as she did against Rousey she will definitely win and get the victory.

Her opponent is Miesha Tate, an MMA fighter who grew up in Tacoma Washington. Growing up, Tate was a Wrestler at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma. She won the state title in her senior year in 2005. She was encouraged by friends to give MMA a try and she has done that ever since. She has 17 wins and 5 losses, with 3 of her wins being called by a knockout.

Overall, I am really excited to see the fights tonight! Hopefully the fights last longer than 30 seconds lol.
